The Ghost of Halloween
The whole thing loads and I'm staring at a ghost. Not a sexy ghost, not an edgelord spirit with skulls and flaming eyes, just a floating white blob with a face a kid might draw on a potato. You got killed by a blonde girl and her car, real tragic, and the great revenge plan is to float into her house and stuff things inside her while she sleeps. The logic is halloween logic, which is no logic at all, but okay sure, I'm in.
The bedroom is dark and she's lying there like a doll you'd find at a discount store, completely still, little snoring bubble floating up every few seconds. You don't have a body so you possess items. A candle appears in a menu. You click it, it goes in. The ghost makes the same happy face. A pumpkin, same. The game doesn't care about physics or consent or basic anatomy and honestly I don't think it knows what a pelvis is. The carrot was the point where I laughed because of course there's a carrot. Not even a phallic vegetable, just a stubby little carrot. The ghost doesn't get tired, doesn't have a stamina bar, doesn't need to negotiate foreplay. You just click and the object does its thing while the same piano loop plays like you're in a haunted elevator.
The pixel art is messy like someone fingerpainted in MS Paint and the sound is one track that loops weirdly, cutting off mid note sometimes. I wish there was more variety in her reactions but there won't be, the game is what it is. My brain wandered to if the ghost ever considers the ethics of revenge porn, then I clicked the cake and the whole screen wobbled and I forgot what I was talking about. Classic cake physics.
Anyway the pumpkin was the best object and that's the only thing that matters. The whole setup is so zero effort that it circles back around to charming, like finding a dirty joke scribbled on a bathroom stall that actually made you snort. It doesn't try to be hot but somehow the absurdity does something.

Ghost Plower
The mansion's display room is where I found my first real opportunity. You know the type, all velvet ropes and "do not touch" signs that scream old money and bad decisions. The rich girls booking this place for their Halloween rager didn't notice me at first. Why would they? I'm a ghost. But I'm also the horniest dead guy you'll ever not see.
The arcade machines in the east wing still work. That's where I cornered the blonde one, the one who kept complaining about her trust fund. She was playing some retro fighter when I made the joystick move on its own. Her scream was half terror, half something else entirely. The game lets you possess objects, and I spent way too long figuring out which ones actually matter. The chandelier in the main hall does nothing useful, but the old torture devices in the basement? Those have... applications. The writing here is deliberately janky, like someone translated it through three languages and a fever dream. The rich girls talk about their "spoiled party" while I'm literally phasing through walls to catch them changing. It's stupid. It's hot. The Halloween decorations are just an excuse for skimpy costumes and I respect that.
There's this one scene with the display case in the foyer. The glass fogs up when you get close, and the girl sees her own reflection with my spectral hands doing things she can't explain. The game doesn't polish these moments, and honestly it shouldn't. The rough edges make it feel like finding someone's weird porn stash from 2006. I wish the torture room had more interactive elements, but what's there works. The arcade segment drags, and the ghost powers are inconsistent. Sometimes you can lift a girl's skirt with a breeze, other times you clip through the floor for no reason. The mansion layout makes no sense. Why is there a torture chamber next to a ballroom? Who designed this place, a horny architect with a concussion? The rich girls don't seem to care. They're too busy being "babes" with dialogue that sounds like a cat walked on a keyboard. I kept playing anyway.

Horror Mansion
You know what gets me about Horror Mansion? The clown girl. I can't stop thinking about her stupid painted smile and the way she just... appears. The ghost girl is supposed to be the big deal, she's the one who snatched Daniel's girlfriend, but honestly I forgot about the girlfriend for like twenty minutes while dealing with that clown. The game says it's about saving her but the mansion is so distracting. You're just wandering around, and then bam, monster girl in your face, and the art for these encounters is genuinely unsettling in that specific hentai way where you're not sure if you should be turned on or creeped out. The ghost girl has this one scene, I won't spoil it, but the translucency effect is a nice touch.
But okay so the mansion itself. I wish the hallways were more confusing? Like it's a haunted mansion, I want to get lost, I want dead ends that loop back wrong. Instead it's pretty straightforward, click here go there. The monster girls are the only thing that breaks it up. There's this one hallway with flickering lights and I kept expecting something to happen and it never did. That's the whole game honestly, moments of genuine creepy atmosphere and then just... nothing. Until the next girl shows up. The clown. Did I mention the clown? She has this laugh that loops and it got stuck in my head for a week.
I was playing on my phone during lunch break at work, bad idea, someone definitely saw a ghost girl scene over my shoulder. Whatever. The game doesn't care about your dignity. Daniel's love for his girlfriend is supposed to be the emotional core but honestly the monster girls steal every scene they're in, especially the one who's clearly running the show but isn't the ghost? Wait no, the ghost girl is the boss, I think. The description says she stands supreme. But there's this other presence in the mansion that feels bigger and the game never really explains it. Maybe that's intentional. Maybe I'm overthinking a game where a clown girl will absolutely ruin your life in the best way. The Halloween vibe is thick though, cobwebs and candelabras and that one room with the-
Anyway the ghost girl's design is my favorite actually. Forget what I said about the clown.

Absolutely Haunting Ch. 1
The lock clicking shut behind you is the last normal thing that happens. After that it's just Gabby pressing her chest against my arm while Lucy stares at a dusty chalkboard like it holds the secrets of the universe. Occult Club, three members, one abandoned school building. You know the setup.
I spent way too long clicking through dialogue about cake. There's a whole bit where Lucy won't shut up about cake while we're supposedly trapped in a haunted building. Priorities, I guess. The ghost stuff takes a backseat to watching these two clubmates get progressively weirder, and by weirder I mean hornier. Gabby's skirt seems to get shorter between scene transitions. I'm not complaining but I noticed. The game doesn't try to hide what it is. Mrs. something or other shows up at some point, a teacher maybe? The tags say "mrs" but honestly I lost track of who's who because the character introductions feel rushed between the fondling scenes.
The art has that rough indie VN quality where anatomy gets creative during the explicit bits. One CG had Gabby's spine doing something I'm pretty sure requires a chiropractor. But there's enthusiasm here. The writing knows exactly when to abandon the ghost hunt premise and get to the grinding. Soundtrack is placeholder stuff, royalty free piano that cuts out awkwardly during scenes. The dev admits this in their notes. Ten second load time after hitting New Game too, which they also acknowledge. At least they're honest about the jank.
The farm tag confuses me. There's no farm. Unless the abandoned school has a garden I missed while clicking through Lucy's third monologue about baked goods. Maybe it's a mistranslation or something cut from the demo. The haunted school setting works fine for what it is, flickering lights and locked doors and suddenly everyone needs to relieve stress in the storage room. You've played this before. The demo ends right when it starts getting interesting with the actual haunting, which is either good pacing or frustrating depending on whether you're here for plot or the other thing.

Ghost Story
I keep coming back to games where you're some kind of spirit worker, you know? There's something about the whole priestess aesthetic that gets me. This one drops you into a mansion with six cursed souls to free, and honestly the setup is so barebones I almost clicked away. But then the first ghost showed up and I was like, okay, fine, I'll see where this goes.
The ranking system determines which endings you get, which is one of those mechanics where you don't realize you've locked yourself out of something until it's too late. I hate that. Let me backtrack, dammit. The brunette priestess character has these massive tits that the animation work really emphasizes, and the hentai scenes unlock after you progress enough. The art style is rough in places, like someone was learning as they went, but somehow that adds to the whole unpolished charm? Or maybe I'm just making excuses because the ghost girl scenes did something for me. The mystical vibe is there even if the writing reads like it was translated through three different languages.
What's weird is how the choice system sometimes feels meaningful and other times completely random. Pick the left dialogue option, get a sex scene. Pick the right one, the ghost just... leaves? No payoff, no nothing. The animation quality varies wildly too. One scene with the asian ghost character was surprisingly fluid, then the next looked like a slideshow. I kept playing anyway because apparently my standards drop significantly when there's a big titty priestess involved. The brunette design is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.
The whole thing feels like someone's first attempt at a visual novel but they really, really cared about the lewd parts. And honestly? That's kind of refreshing compared to polished games that forget to be actually hot. The mansion setting gets repetitive but the ghost designs are creative enough to keep things interesting. Six souls to free, multiple endings, some genuinely decent hentai animation if you can overlook the jank. Not bad for what it is.

Deserted School
The ghost headmistress has a thing for being watched. That's not a spoiler, it's the whole reason the pixelated scenes work despite looking like they were drawn on a budget of three cents and a hangover. You're a journalist poking around an abandoned college on Halloween, which is already the most cliche setup possible, but then the game throws you into these weird puzzle sequences where you're basically setting up voyeuristic scenarios for the spirits. The art is deliberately rough, almost sketchy, and somehow that makes the explicit stuff hit different. Like finding a dirty drawing in someone's notebook instead of a polished hentai spread. The headmistress ghost has these scenes where she's... performing, let's say, and the janky animation loops actually make it feel more voyeuristic than smooth 60fps ever could.
The investigation mechanics are barebones, click around, find objects, trigger ghost encounters. But there's this one puzzle with a mirror in the old chemistry lab that had me genuinely stuck for twenty minutes because I kept getting distracted by the reflection mechanic. You angle the mirror to see into a locked room where a student ghost is doing something with a desk that definitely wasn't in the curriculum. The game knows what it's doing, the horror elements are just window dressing for increasingly elaborate supernatural peep shows. The sound design is actually creepy though, these muffled moans that could be wind or could be something else entirely, and the game never clarifies which, which is frustrating in a way I respect.
I wish the journalist character had more personality beyond "horny reporter with a flashlight." The dialogue choices are basically "be brave" or "be horny" and both lead to the same ghost fucking. Not that I'm complaining about the ghost fucking. The Halloween party scene near the end where multiple spirits show up at once, the game's engine clearly can't handle it, frames drop to like 12, and somehow that stuttering makes the orgy scene more surreal and dreamlike. Or maybe I'm just making excuses for poor optimization. The abandoned college setting is mostly just dark corridors and overturned desks, but the way the ghosts phase through furniture during their scenes, leaving ectoplasm trails on surfaces, that's a nice touch. The headmistress keeps her spectacles on during everything, which is a specific fetish I didn't know I had until this game.

Gabe's Ghost Hunt v0.2
The redhead is the first thing that gets you. Not in a "oh, she's cute" way, more like she walked out of a fever dream with that hair practically glowing against the dark hallways. Her name's something I already forgot, but she's the one feeding you missions while Gabe, that loud idiot, screams into a camera somewhere off screen. You're the fixer, the one who does the actual work before the show tapes. And the work is... look, it's a visual novel about ghost hunting. You click, you read, sometimes you pick what to say next.
But the ghosts. Right. The ghosts are horny. There's no delicate way to put it. One minute you're checking EMF readings in a dusty basement, the next a spectral hand is doing things that would get a living person arrested. The game doesn't pretend to be scary. The horror tag is a joke, a Halloween costume it wears while grinding against your leg. I laughed out loud when a supposedly terrifying apparition manifested just to whisper something absolutely filthy. The writing knows exactly what it is. That's rare.
The art though. Unpolished doesn't cover it. Some scenes look like they were sketched on a napkin during a lunch break, proportions going weird, eyes slightly off center. And yet. And yet when it clicks, when the artist actually tried, there's this one scene with the redhead in a torn shirt that made me forget the janky bits entirely. The fantasy elements clash with the modern setting in ways that don't make sense. Why is there a medieval ghost in a suburban house? Don't ask. The humor lands about half the time, the other half is just... noise. But that half that works? Genuinely funny. A ghost hunter arguing with a spirit about property taxes. I wish the game had more of that and less of the filler conversations that pad out the runtime. But it won't. It is what it is. A messy, occasionally hot, frequently stupid little thing that somehow works despite itself. Or maybe because of itself. I don't know anymore.
