So the Violet Sunset, right? It's this train that's basically purgatory on rails, and you're Yuzu, a demon queen who's been stuck on it forever. Or maybe not forever, the game's a bit fuzzy on that, but long enough that you've got this whole routine down. You and Violet, your sort of... lieutenant? Girlfriend? It's complicated. You two run the show, welcoming aboard sinners who are trying to get reborn. Only three at a time though, which feels like a weirdly specific rule but okay. The whole thing has this deliberately rough, almost unfinished look to it, like someone drew it in a notebook during a boring class and then just... kept going. The character sprites sometimes have this janky quality where an arm doesn't quite connect right, and honestly? It adds to the whole cursed vibe. Like the train itself is glitching.

You spend most of your time talking to these damned souls, and the writing is surprisingly sharp in places. There's this one passenger, a woman who drowned her kids, and the way she slowly reveals it over drinks in the dining car... it's genuinely unsettling. Then five minutes later you're fingerbanging a futa demon with a horse cock in the caboose. The tonal whiplash is real. The sex scenes are explicit as hell, no fade to black bullshit, everything described in that slightly awkward translated English that somehow makes it hotter? "Her meat rod throbbed with demonic need" is an actual line and I think about it more than I should.

The mechanic where you have to condemn one of them at the end of each ride... it's brutal. You get attached, you learn their tragic backstory, maybe you even romance them, and then you have to literally send them back to hell. I wish there was a way to save all of them but there isn't and there won't be, the game's been out for like two years now. Sometimes I just close the browser tab before making the choice. Pretend the journey never ends. Which is probably what Yuzu does too, honestly. The whole thing feels like a fever dream I had after watching Kino's Journey while horny.
