The first time I loaded up Vicekeeper Victor I thought my browser was broken. The art style is this weird mix of really detailed CG hentai for the "scenes" and then almost sketchy looking tavern backgrounds. It's jarring. Like someone spent all their budget on the tits and said fuck it to everything else. And honestly? That's exactly what happened and I'm not even mad about it.

You're this tavern owner and you've got these girls working for you, right? But it's not like a normal management sim where you're balancing books or whatever. The whole point is breaking them down. There's this blonde one, starts off all proud and shit, and the training system is basically a series of humiliation checks. You pick dialogue options that are just... mean. And the domination aspect isn't subtle at all. No slow corruption here, the game description wasn't lying about that. One minute she's serving drinks, next thing you know she's on her knees in the back room and the CG switches to this really high quality art that made me double check if I was still playing the same game. The fantasy setting is just window dressing for the power trip. Elves, magic, whatever, doesn't matter when you're making a girl crawl.

I kept getting stuck on this one scene where you have to choose between public humiliation or private "training" and both paths lead to the same outcome just with different dialogue. Lazy design honestly. But then the private route had this extra animation frame that the public one didn't and I spent twenty minutes replaying both to make sure I wasn't imagining it. Why would they hide content like that? The tavern management part is basically pointless too, just clicking through menus to get to the next scene. I don't know why they even included it. Maybe to pretend there's gameplay? The whole thing runs in browser and my phone got so hot I thought it would melt through my desk. Worth it though for that one CG where she finally breaks and the expression change is actually kind of impressive from an art perspective. If you're into the whole "I can fix her" meme but the opposite, this is your jam.
