I keep mixing up the buttons. The forest screen, right? You got Sereneth there with her wings all glowing and Caelen looking like he walked out of a romance novel cover, and I'm supposed to click on the bush or the path or whatever. But I keep hitting the dialogue option that makes her say something naive and sweet, and then the scene just loops back to Olgrun grinning with his crooked teeth. That guy. He's got this "safe route" bullshit and every time he talks my stomach does a little flip because you just know. You just know what's coming.
The animations caught me off guard. Not the big ones, I mean the little twitches. Sereneth's wings flutter when she's nervous. I stared at that for maybe two minutes before realizing nothing else was happening. The AI art thing is weird too, some scenes look like a painting and others look like someone fed a fantasy prompt into a generator and forgot to clean up the fingers. But then the corruption stuff starts creeping in and suddenly I don't care about the fingers anymore because she's blushing in this tent and Caelen is right outside talking to that disgusting guide and I'm clicking faster.
The sound. There's barely any. Just this ambient forest loop that cuts out sometimes and leaves dead silence right when something messed up is happening. First time it happened I thought my phone crashed. Nope, just the game being janky. But it made the groping scene feel more... I don't know. Like I was holding my breath without meaning to. The exhibitionism bits in the elven ruins later, same thing. Quiet except for her little gasps. I wish there was voice acting but there won't be, obviously.
Olgrun's path leads to this clearing with those weird mushrooms and I still don't understand if picking them changes anything or if the whole sandbox thing is just fake choices. I replayed that part three times. Same result. She ends up on her knees either way. The interracial tag isn't kidding around, by the way. That first scene with the elf lord made me put my phone down and walk around my apartment. Not because it was bad. Because I felt like I shouldn't be watching. Which is the point, I guess.
