The loading screen is still that generic fantasy font, you know the one, and I'm already laughing because Janna's portrait looks like it was traced from a DeviantArt post circa 2009. Not in a bad way. It has that specific energy of something made by a person who really, really thought about one particular fetish for three years straight. The whole thing runs in a browser tab I keep hidden behind my actual work spreadsheet, which is perfect because the game is basically a series of increasingly unhinged choices.
There's this early quest where you have to "cleanse a corrupted forest spirit" or whatever, and the dialogue options range from "offer a healing prayer" to "accidentally step on her with your bare foot." I picked the foot one, obviously. Janna's corruption meter ticked up like 2% and she said something about how the moss felt "strangely warm between her toes." The writing is like that all the way through. It never tries to be high art, it just keeps finding new ways to make a footjob feel like a spiritual awakening. I respect the commitment. My only real complaint, and I mean this, is that the anal scenes unlock way too late. You have to grind through so many "seduction" choices that I started clicking through dialogue just to get there, which defeats the whole point of a slow corruption arc. Also the masturbation scenes are weirdly clinical compared to everything else, like the writer got shy all of a sudden.
I spent twenty minutes yesterday trying to figure out if the "lol" tag meant the game was funny or if it was just a League reference. It's both, I think. There's a moment where Janna has to choose between saving a village or letting it get swallowed by a void beast, and the void beast is literally named "Greg." I don't know why that got me. The humor lands exactly where it needs to, right before a scene where she's getting her toes sucked by a forest nymph. Balance in all things. I wish the fantasy setting had more variety though. Every quest hub looks the same, just different shades of purple fog.
