I was messing with the textures in this thing, trying to smooth out the cosplay outfits on the real model base they used, and honestly the jank is part of the appeal. It's an html game, so you know what you're getting, a bunch of screens and text choices. The whole setup is this parody where celebs and deepfakes are just part of the world, and you're a superhero trying to get into the Hero Society. I picked a character with some mental manipulation ability, which felt right for the vibe.

The interview is where it gets weirdly specific. You're sitting across from this stern looking woman in a tight costume, and the dialogue options are all about probing her thoughts or just straight up telling her you've seen her fakes online. I went with the probing, and the text descriptions are surprisingly hot in that fan fiction way, very detailed about her shifting in her seat, the flush creeping up her neck. There's a striptease choice that comes out of nowhere if you push the right buttons, and the game doesn't animate it, just describes each piece of clothing with the energy of someone writing a very committed forum post. The RPG elements are barebones, a few stats that change the text blocks you get, but I forgot to even check them after the first five minutes.

The whole thing made me think about those old Flash games on Newgrounds where the creator was clearly working through something. The superhero theme is just a skin for a power fantasy about control and exposure. The text gets explicit, talking about the weight of a breast, the damp spot on fabric, without any of the flowery nonsense you see in bigger titles. But the choice system is a lie half the time. I tried to be a good guy on a second run, and the game just funneled me back to the same horny dialogue trees with slightly different flavor text. It's like the therapist in me sees the desire for a world where celebrity is just a mask you can peel off, but the modder in me just wants to fix the damn font size on mobile.
