Lisa is definitely the one. Well, Lisa's the one I kept pushing to lose. The other girl, whatever her name was, blonde with that weird too wide smile, she has this animation where she takes off her top and her whole torso moves like a single solid block. Like a barbie doll someone's twisting at the waist. But Lisa, good lord, that side glance right when she's about to shuffle. You know the one. The whole game's built on these fmv loops and they loop badly, the audio cuts off mid laugh every single time, but there's something about a real person looking at you through a webcam from 2005 that hits different than any rendered character ever could. The compression artifacts on her bra strap, I don't know man.
The card game is blackjack, obviously, but who cares about the math. You bet clothes instead of chips and hope the rng doesn't hate you. There's this dildo prop that shows up in one of the rounds and the way she handles it, I almost spilled my drink, but then the animation resets for the fifth time in a row while the music keeps playing some royalty free elevator jazz that's way too loud and you can't adjust it. Not a slider, not a mute button, nothing. You just sit there with that saxophone blaring while she's stuck in a one second loop of lifting her skirt. You'd think that ruins the mood, but somehow no, because the anticipation of the next win is still there, waiting for the dealer to bust.
I lost like four hands in a row to a dealer showing a six. A six. In what universe does a dealer pull a five card twenty one from a six. This game's universe apparently. But then Lisa's model eventually has this strip sequence where the bra comes off and it's shot from what must be her personal camcorder, the focus is all soft and the lighting's just a desk lamp probably, and I'm back in. The realness, the lack of polish, it's like finding an old video file you forgot about. Just don't look at the ui. That font is a crime and the buttons are sized for someone using a crt monitor in 1998.
