The photographer’s flash pops and suddenly it’s not about modeling anymore. That Chinese girl, the one with the dark hair falling across her cheek like a curtain about to rise, she’s telling the other two about her day. Won the competition. Of course she did. Her story spills out in that lazy, post victory haze while the other sluts listen, probably touching themselves, probably not. The dialogue is so stupid it circles back around to genius. Something about how the camera wasn’t the only thing going off in that studio.
Voice acting. There isn’t any. But the text has this rhythm, this broken poetry to it. Like reading subtitles to a film projected on a bedsheet. The brunette describes the cumshot with the clinical detachment of someone reciting a grocery list. Eggs. Milk. A face full of victory. And then she laughs and the laugh is just a line of text but you hear it anyway. The whole thing feels like it was translated through three languages and a hangover. Deliberately unpolished, yeah, but there’s craft in the mess. The way a sentence will just collapse into itself and then a moment of surprising clarity hits you right in the gut.
The comedy lands because it doesn’t try to. These three women, this unholy trinity of post coital gossip, they’re just talking. And the model, she’s so matter of fact about the blowjob that got her the gig. No shame. No filter. Just the transaction of it. The game, if you can call it that, is basically a loop of this conversation. Click. Read. Snort. Click again. I wanted more. I wanted less. The backgrounds are static, the characters barely move, and yet I sat through the whole thing twice. There’s a moment where the brunette pauses and the silence, that digital nothing, says more than any moan could. Then she keeps talking and ruins it. Perfect.
