I keep thinking about that first time the princess just... wasn't there. You know the setup, classic RPG bullshit, hero with a sword, some dungeons, monsters that need killing. But something's off from the jump. The game feels like it's glitching but it's not, it's doing it on purpose. Like when you walk into a room and the text repeats, or that NPC says something that makes no sense until your third loop through. The whole thing is a snake eating its own tail, literally the title, and you're stuck in it.

The combat is basic tactics stuff, nothing fancy, but honestly who cares. I got annoyed at first because there's no enemy HP bars in this version, which the description warns you about but still. You're just swinging blind hoping the slime dies before you do. Then I realized that's kind of the point. The mechanics are as hollow as the world, and the game knows it. The real game is figuring out why everything keeps resetting, why the princess sometimes remembers you and sometimes doesn't, why certain dialogue options appear that weren't there before. It's a puzzle box wearing a RPG costume.

The sex scenes are text only in this build, no art, which is a bummer because apparently the Steam version has actual visuals. You gotta dig deep to find them too, they're not just handed out like candy. When you do stumble into one, it's explicit enough, the writing does the job, but it's more unsettling than hot given the context. You're fucking someone who might not be real, or might be real in a way you don't understand yet. The whole thing feels like a creepypasta that accidentally has porn in it. I respect that. Most adult games frontload the tits and call it a day, this one makes you work for it while slowly breaking your brain. Just use Firefox, Chrome shits itself running this for some reason.
