So Offcuts is this visual novel, right, and I went in expecting the usual high school romance stuff because of the tags, like school uniform and all that. It's a 3DCG game, which I'm usually a bit eh about, but the models here have this kind of... deliberate stiffness? Not like bad animation, more like everyone's slightly uncomfortable and that somehow makes the erotic bits hit different. The first blowjob scene I got, the character's expression was so blank it looped back to being hot. Like she's doing it because the script says so, not because anyone's having fun, and that vibe just... works for me. The male protagonist is a blank slate but honestly who cares.

The anal scene though. Unlocked it by complete accident, was trying to just be nice to this one character from the old acquaintance group, the one the description mentions who might want to break your legs. Kept picking the dialogue options that seemed safest, and then suddenly she's got me against the lockers and... well. The game's logic feels like it's held together with old gum. Sometimes choices matter, sometimes they don't, and I swear the game forgot I was romancing the new girl halfway through and just switched tracks. The mobile game tag makes sense, it runs fine on my phone, I played most of it while waiting for the bus, and let me tell you trying to tap through a surprise anal scene in public is an experience. The UI buttons are tiny though, misclicked and skipped a whole lewd sequence once.

Wish the school setting was used more, it's mostly just backdrops. There's this one hallway render they reuse so much I started noticing the same crack in the wall tile. But then the next scene started and I forgot about it because the writing actually got good for a second, before going back to being... there. The romance paths feel thin but maybe that's the point, the "some people you can't get rid off" part is definitely the sharpest writing, even though the spelling error in the game's own description tells you what to expect.
