Frieren getting stuck in walls isn't exactly what I expected when someone mentioned a glory hole parody game, but here we are. The whole premise revolves around our favorite elf mage finding herself in compromising positions where tentacles take full advantage of the situation. It's pretty straightforward - point, click, watch the magic happen.

The animations are actually decent for what this is trying to be. Each character design keeps their proportions from the source material while adding those... enhanced features you'd expect. Voice acting surprised me though, didn't think they'd bother with that level of detail for something so simple. The facial expressions during the tentacle scenes have more personality than most AAA games I've played recently. Though honestly, the skeleton sharing between animations makes everything feel a bit samey after the first few interactions. You'll notice the patterns pretty quickly, especially when Frieren's reactions follow the same basic rhythm regardless of what's happening to her.

What bothers me is how they promise five characters but only deliver Frieren initially. Sure, the developer says others are coming "during the week" but that's been the story for months now. The dungeon setting works well enough for the fantasy parody angle, and the chest-stuck mechanic adds some variety to the usual glory hole formula. But without more characters to interact with, you're basically cycling through the same animations with minor variations. The humor attempts fall flat most of the time - tentacle jokes only go so far. Still, if you're looking for quick Frieren content with decent animation quality, it delivers on that front. Just don't expect depth or long-term engagement because this isn't trying to be anything more than animated fan service.

wow this game has no right being this funny

the art is genuinely rough like someone drew it on a phone during math class and honestly that's exactly what a parody of that show needs. the whole thing is a glory hole setup with the crystal gems which is already absurd enough but the expressions are what gets me. pearl looks so done with everything. that thousand yard stare through the hole. i've seen that exact face on discord at 11pm when someone posts cursed content and you can't look away. amethyst is just vibing through the whole thing obviously.

the humor actually lands which is rare for these parody games. most of them take themselves way too seriously but this one knows exactly what it is. there's this moment where garnet just. appears. no warning. and the text is so deadpan about it that i snorted. the dialogue choices are limited but each one has a different flavor of ridiculous. you can be enthusiastic, confused, or just lean into the madness. picking the wrong option actually gives you funnier results sometimes. or wait maybe that's the right option. depends what you're here for i guess.

the gameplay loop is simple. click through scenes, pick dialogue, get different reactions. the explicit content is there but it's almost secondary to the comedy. the glory hole mechanics are straightforward, no complex systems to figure out. just pure absurdist gem action. the sound design is nonexistent which somehow makes it funnier. just silence while pearl judges you through a hole in the wall. i wish there was more content with the other gems but what's here is solid. or not solid. you know what i mean. the replay value comes from seeing all the ridiculous dialogue branches and honestly i went back just to see if garnet would do the thing again. she did. legendary.

The whole thing feels like someone scanned a bunch of hentai magazines from 2005 and then ran them through a photocopier that was low on toner. That's not a complaint exactly, more of a texture observation. The lines are fuzzy, the colors bleed, and every character looks like they're sweating cooking oil. But there's this one scene, right, where the protagonist first discovers the gloryhole at this seedy truck stop. The way her eyes go wide, then narrow, then sort of glaze over. It's not animated well, it's barely animated at all, but something about the timing made me snort my drink.

So you've got this visual novel setup, standard stuff, click to advance text that's been translated by someone who definitely lied on their resume. "Your milkers are like soft clouds of destiny," a line I will never forget. The big tits tag is doing some heavy lifting here, obviously. Every female character, and I mean every single one, has breasts that seem to be actively defying several laws of physics and possibly the Geneva Convention. The milf character, who I think is supposed to be a landlady but her dialogue keeps calling her "the apartment queen," has this one expression where she's surprised and her left eyebrow just detaches from her face. Floats there. A full centimeter of air between brow and forehead. I stared at it for way too long.

The interracial scenes are where the game suddenly remembers it has a budget. The big cock tag manifests with all the subtlety of a brick through a window. There's this recurring sound effect that's supposed to be a zipper but it sounds exactly like my old Nokia phone vibrating on a wooden table. Took me right out of the moment, every time. But then the scene would continue and I'd forget because the writing, despite being nonsense, has this weird earnestness. Like the person who wrote it genuinely believed "throbbing pillar of man-meat" was poetry. Maybe it is. What do I know about poetry? I'm reviewing a game where a woman gets stuck in a wall and her solution is to just accept her fate for six dialogue boxes before calling for help. The cg hentai scenes are static images that try to imply motion through speed lines that move in the wrong direction. It's a mess. A glorious, horny mess that I can't stop thinking about.
