BeachJabDay v1.0 [Completed]
So I'm at this convention, right, and someone slides me a link to Farida's Beach Experiment. Not a booth, not a flyer, just a DM on Discord. The pixel art tag got me, I'll admit. I'm a sucker for that chunky sprite look, like I'm back on my old Game Boy but with way less clothes involved.
The whole premise is this girl Farida doing "social science" at the beach. Which is code for she's wearing a bikini that's working overtime and the camera really, really likes her. The pixel art here is something else. Not the smooth anime stuff you see everywhere, but proper chunky pixels. The way they handled the curves on her chest, the bounce animation when she moves. It's crude but in a way that works. There's this one frame where she adjusts her top and the sprite just... it's a lot. Spent way too long staring at that. The beach background is whatever, some sand, some water, but honestly who's looking at the water when Farida's assets are taking up half the screen.
The visual novel bits are where it gets weird. The dialogue is translated from something, probably Japanese, and it reads like someone ran it through Google Translate twice and called it a day. She talks about her experiment but the text boxes keep getting in the way of the good angles. There's a whole section about survey methodology that goes on forever and I'm sitting there clicking through like, show me the bikini again. The sound design is just ocean waves on a loop. No music. Just waves and clicking. Makes the whole thing feel oddly lonely, which I guess fits the "one girl on a beach" vibe but still.
The replay value is basically zero unless you really need to see the same three animations again. But that one sprite, the one where she's looking over her shoulder? That's going to stick with me. Not because it's artistic or whatever. Just because sometimes crude pixel art hits different than all the polished 3D stuff flooding the adult games space. It's a mess but it's my kind of mess.

Obscura v2.5
The mask itches like hell and the guy next to me in the bidding pit hasn't blinked in three minutes. I'm watching a woman sell her own name, written on parchment, to a thing with too many fingers. Welcome to the mountain market. This visual novel doesn't give a shit about making you comfortable. The art is deliberately rough, like sketches on a bar napkin, and it works because everything here is supposed to feel wrong. You play as someone desperate enough to walk into a place where faces don't exist and morality is the first thing people pawn.
The corruption mechanics aren't what you'd expect. No sex. None. But the way characters get inside your head, the blackmail and the slow unraveling of who you thought you were, it's more intimate than most games with full penetration scenes. There's this moment with a guide who offers you a way through the lower tunnels and you know, you absolutely know, they're going to twist the knife later. But you say yes anyway because the alternative is worse. That's the whole game. Choosing between terrible and catastrophic while strangers in masks watch you bleed out metaphorically. The multiple endings actually matter here, branching based on which lies you believed and which truths you sold.
Wish there was more to do with the masks themselves. You collect them but they're just inventory icons. Missed opportunity. The graphic violence tag is earned though. Not gore for gore's sake but this one scene where you find out what happens to people who break market rules. I had to put my phone down. Not because it was explicit but because the writing made me feel complicit. The dystopian setting isn't window dressing, it's the whole point. You're not a hero. You're not even an anti-hero. You're just meat walking through a system designed to grind you down and the game never lets you forget it. The female protagonist route hits different than the male one, same story but the threats feel more personal somehow. Or maybe I'm projecting. Whatever. The market doesn't care.

Aeonβs Echo
Collect prizes and items in the mail with each battle won, as they will help you evolve your educated fighters. The longer you evolve your lovely warriors, the more their corporal appearance switches. And with "switches", we suggest "that they become supah unsheathing, taunting you endlessly". And, if you can not escape from this headspace these hot hot visuals have pushed one into, the game does include a useful "auto" mode which can perform the top moves, and that means it's possible to keep concentrating on your most recent win - or, you knowthat anything is holding your focus.
Play with the #1 finest sex game on earth. Exactly why wait around? It really is free-for-all!

Sorcerer Slayer v0.01
My father is dead and I didn't go to the funeral. That's the first thing this game tells you, right in the opening, and honestly? Relatable. The protagonist is a professional mage-killer, a sorcerer slayer, which is already a job title that makes me think about the dental plan. Does killing wizards come with benefits? Probably not, because a mysterious woman shows up and now suddenly this guy has magic powers of his own. The irony is thick enough to spread on toast.
The visual style is that particular Renpy 3D thing where everyone looks like they're made of slightly melted wax, but in a charming way. You know the look. The women have those impossible proportions that would make a chiropractor weep, and the animations during the lewd scenes have that specific rhythm where you can almost hear the developer clicking through poses. There's this one scene early on with the mysterious woman, the one who drops the magical bombshell, where she's explaining everything and her tits are just... there. Defying gravity. Making their own rules. I spent more time watching the idle breathing animation than reading the dialogue, which is probably what the creator intended.
The romance paths branch in ways that don't always make sense. I picked a dialogue option that seemed flirty and the protagonist basically confessed his undying love. Slow down, my guy. You just met her. You don't even know if she's the one who maybe killed your dad, which is a plot thread that gets mentioned and then sort of wanders off to buy cigarettes. The parody elements are there but subtle, little nods to fantasy tropes that get twisted into something hornier. I wish there was more actual sorcerer slaying and less standing around in rooms talking about feelings, but then a sex scene starts and I forget what I was complaining about. The magic system is never really explained. You just accept that this man can now do spells and also have very athletic intercourse with elf women. That's the game. That's the whole thing. And somehow it works.
