The dragon girl has this thing where her tail twitches when you pick the flirty dialogue option and I spent way too long just reloading saves to see it again. Not even the sex scenes, just the tail twitch. Something about the animation, it's like a 4 frame loop but it gets the weight right. You know how most of these games have tails that move like they're filled with helium? This one feels like it has actual muscle in it.

The Scaly Valley is basically a monster girl dating sim with a fantasy coat of paint. You got your standard setup, some kingdom, some quest, whatever. But the whole point is getting with the companions and the game knows it. Multiple protagonists too, which threw me off at first because I was just trying to romance the busty dragon lady and suddenly I'm playing as some elf chick getting felt up by a lamia. Not complaining exactly. The lesbian scenes hit different when you're controlling both sides of it, makes the groping feel more... intentional? There's this one scene with the wolf girl where the oral goes on for like twenty dialogue boxes and by the end I forgot there was supposed to be a plot happening.

Wish the male protag wasn't so generic though. He's got that same blank slate face every VN uses and it takes me out when the animated monster girls are putting in work. The dragon girl deserves better than a mannequin with a sword.

The art style is that clean 2D look where everything's slightly too smooth but the expressions land. Big asses everywhere, obviously. The dragon companion has this idle animation where she stretches and her whole body just... yeah. I left the game running on that screen while I made food once. Came back and realized I'd been standing in the kitchen doorway staring for a solid minute. The dating mechanics are simple, give gifts, pick the right answers, unlock the lewd stuff. Standard. But the writing during the intimate scenes actually tries to build something between the characters instead of just jumping to the money shots. The romance parts feel soft in a way the character designs don't prepare you for.
