I went into this expecting a joke. You know the setup, the classic anime trap scenario where the protagonist freaks out and it's all played for laughs. And yeah, the first ten minutes are exactly that. Our guy, some blandly handsome dude whose name I already forgot, gets confessed to by this adorable blonde with ribbons in her hair. He says yes, heart pounding, and then bam, the skirt comes up and there's a dick. His internal screaming is genuinely funny, the text timing is perfect.

But then the game does something weird. It gets... tender? The whole premise is that he ropes his best friend into crafting this elaborate "Operation: Make Him Dump Me" where he's supposed to be the worst boyfriend ever. So I'm picking dialogue options like ignoring texts, being gross during dates, giving backhanded compliments. And the femboy, Ryo, just absorbs it all with this heartbreaking patience. There's a scene where you're supposed to order him the cheapest thing on the menu to be a dick, and he just quietly says he's happy to be there with you. My stomach actually dropped. The writing doesn't let you off the hook. The sex scenes, when they eventually happen, are less about the shock of the anatomy and more about this raw, confused intimacy. The first time you see his full sprite without the skirt, the artist didn't shy away from making him genuinely beautiful, all soft lines and that nervous blush. The CGs during the h-scenes are explicit, focusing on the awkwardness of their positions, the way the protagonist's hands tremble. It's hot, but in a way that makes you feel like a bit of a bastard for finding it hot, given the emotional manipulation you're pulling.

I wish the best friend character had more to do besides just being the evil schemer in the group chat. Her motivations are paper thin. And there's this one mini-game where you have to pick the right "bad boyfriend" action that's just trial and error, which killed the pacing. But then Ryo will send a late night text that's just a picture of a cat he saw, and you remember the game has you by the throat. Multiple endings, and the one where you actually succeed in your plan made me close my browser and stare at a wall. Not every day a porn game makes you feel like the villain.
