You know what gets me about these RWBY parody things. The way they handle Weiss. That whole scene in the library, right. She's all ice queen but then the camera just lingers on her adjusting her skirt for like twenty seconds while she's looking for a book. You think nothing happens but the voyeur tag is there for a reason and the game knows exactly what it's doing. The protagonist just stands there like a lemon, mouth breathing, and somehow that's the whole mechanic. Just... watching.

The turn based combat is whatever. You fight some grimm, the usual black blobs with bone plates, and then suddenly Yang's tits are out. I don't know how we got there. The game doesn't either I think. One minute you're clicking attack and the next there's a 3DCG ahegao face that looks like someone stretched a jpeg over a bowling ball. The monster designs are actually kind of creative though, there's this one with too many eyes that I kept thinking about later. Not during the sex scenes obviously, those are a different kind of horror. The vaginal stuff is animated like a slideshow made by someone who's only heard about sex through a bad translator. Which maybe they did, the dialogue has that energy. "You are making me feel good places." Sure buddy.

The virgin tag is funny because the male protag acts like he's never seen a woman before, which tracks for a self insert. Ruby shows up and he's already sweating through his hoodie. Blake barely says three words and he's ready to propose. The *** scenes are... there. I'm not gonna pretend they're not. It's that weird hentai logic where nobody seems that upset about it after thirty seconds. Yang especially, which feels wrong for her character but I guess that's the point of a parody. You're supposed to already know these girls from the show so watching them get corrupted hits different. Or doesn't. Depends on your brain rot level. The mobile version runs like garbage on my phone, crashed twice during the forest scene with the mysterious girl. Who is obviously Cinder but the game thinks it's being subtle. It's not. Nothing here is subtle. There's a scene where Weiss is taking a shower and the camera is positioned like a peeping tom and the game just lets you stay there. No button prompt, no timer, just you and the steam and her humming some tune from the actual show. That's the moment I understood what this game is actually about. Not the combat, not the plot about Beacon Academy, just... the waiting. The watching. The game is patient in a way that's almost artistic if you squint and ignore the janky models. Then a monster shows up and ruins it. Typical.
