The leveling system in this one, if you can call it that, is basically just a meter for how much silk you’ve torn through. Every encounter with a warrior woman or a sneaky kunoichi pushes some invisible bar, and suddenly she’s in a new pose, a new state of undress, her dialogue shifting from “I will end your bloodline” to something far more breathy. It’s not complex, it’s practically caveman design, but fuck if it doesn’t work. You’re not grinding for stats, you’re grinding to see the stoic onna-bugeisha finally let her top slip. The whole thing feels like a history book written by someone who just discovered what a labia was and got very, very distracted.

The art is deliberately rough, like a scroll painting that’s been left out in the rain and then someone spilled sake on it. And that’s the point, I think. A polished look would ruin the raw, fever-dream quality of a daimyo’s daughter getting railed in a bamboo grove. There’s this one scene with a shrine maiden that just… the way her hakama is bunched up, the single brushstroke that suggests everything. I spent way too long staring at it, the game’s clunky UI completely forgotten. The sound design is just wind and wet noises, which is honestly all you need. I wish the dialogue tree had a “just shut up and let me see the next position” button, but that’s never getting patched in.

Oh, and the ninja girl. She has this move where she tries to poison you and it backfires into an aphrodisiac situation. Classic. It’s the kind of trope that makes you roll your eyes right before you click to see the next image. The whole thing is a mess of anachronisms and improbable body physics, a horny ghost haunting a history lesson. My only real complaint is that the “warrior” tag is a bit misleading, most of the fighting happens horizontally. But then you get to a scene where a general is still wearing her full armor, just with the chest piece conveniently missing, and you remember why you’re here. It’s not about the battle, it’s about the surrender.
