Lost count of how many times I reloaded the Beth scene. Not because it's good, it's actually kind of a mess, but there's this one specific dialogue branch where she calls you pathetic and the animation glitches so her tits clip through her tank top in a way that's honestly more interesting than the actual sex scene. The game knows it's broken too, I think. Rick literally tells you you're a loser who nobody wants to fuck and then the whole gameplay loop is grinding stats so you can eventually nut your way back to your dimension. That's the plot. That's the mechanic. You're a wet sock of a man and you need to become slightly less of a wet sock.

The stat tracking is where my brain latched on. There's like seven different endings and I've mapped four so far. The Summer path requires you to completely ignore the murder investigation which makes no narrative sense but whatever, the game doesn't care about narrative sense. It cares about whether you've grinded enough charisma to not immediately get rejected by a cartoonishly proportioned version of a character you recognize. The mobile port runs like absolute garbage on my Pixel, constant frame drops during the gym minigame, but I kept playing anyway because I needed to see if the OnlyFans queen route actually pays off or if it's another dead end like the corrupt cop one where you just get arrested and game over with no payoff. No sex scene, just a black screen and Rick laughing at you. That's genuinely funny game design and I can't tell if it's intentional.

The sandbox structure means you can sequence break some stuff if you know what you're doing. Found a way to skip the entire hooker sidequest by just repeatedly failing the gym babe interactions until a specific flag triggers. Don't know why it works. The code is held together with tape and cum, probably. But that's the appeal right? Tracking all the broken paths and weird triggers. The vaginal scenes are whatever, standard cartoon stuff, but the writing when you fail is where the game actually shines.
