The first thing that hits you is the sound design. Not music, just this low ambient hum like a dying fridge in a gothic mansion. Then Furina's face fills the screen and you remember why you clicked. The gothic setting means lots of candles and dark corners, so half the time you're squinting at your screen trying to find the next interaction point. There's a scene where she's bent over a coffin and the camera just refuses to give you the angle you want. You can rotate slightly but not enough, and she keeps glancing back like she knows you're frustrated. That's the whole game in a nutshell really.

Furina herself is the draw. That haughty voice, the way her eyes narrow when you pick the wrong dialogue option but she still spreads her legs anyway because the plot demands it. The halloween special adds a costume element that's basically an excuse for her to wear less and less as the mystery deepens. I wish there was a skip button for the investigation parts, but there won't be. The devs clearly think the story matters. It doesn't. What matters is the scene where she's on the altar and the candles melt wax onto her thighs and the animation loops just slightly too fast so it looks like she's vibrating with need. That's worth the browser load time. The rest is just foreplay you can't skip.
