The tavern in Brimstone smells like spilled ale and failure. That’s where Drake spends his days, this would-be hero who’s never actually done anything. The game opens on him mopping floors, which tells you everything about the vibe. It’s a fantasy RPG from Lesson of Passion, so you know what you’re getting into. Choices matter, sort of. You click around, talk to people, and eventually stumble into situations where clothes come off.
What got me was the elf. Not gonna pretend otherwise. She’s working at this shithole tavern, all pointy ears and attitude, and the dialogue trees let you be such a sleaze. The pickup lines are genuinely terrible. Like, I cringed. But the game knows they’re terrible, I think? Hard to tell with the translation. Sometimes the broken English makes everything funnier than intended. You’ll pick an option thinking it’s smooth and she calls you a dog. Fair, honestly.
The CG scenes unlock slowly. Too slowly maybe. Lots of clicking through the same village spots, the same fetch quest nonsense, before you get to the good stuff. The art is that classic LoP style, thick lines and exaggerated everything. Boobs defy physics. Nobody’s surprised. I wish the tavern had more to do, more characters to corrupt or whatever. It’s mostly just a hub between grinding. But then you get a scene with the queen and suddenly the boring parts don’t matter as much. Funny how that works.
The RPG mechanics are barebones. Don’t expect builds or strategy. It’s a vehicle for filth with a fantasy skin. Sometimes the game forgets what it’s doing and just throws tits at you. Not complaining. The whore tag isn’t subtle. It’s right there in the first hour if you push the right buttons. I kept playing because the elf’s dialogue made me laugh. Not because it’s deep. It’s not. But it’s honest about what it is, a quick dirty adventure for a boring evening. The hero’s journey can wait.
