You know that feeling when you find a game that's clearly a labor of... something. Not love exactly, more like horny obsession. Cross Worlds is that. The art is 2D, kinda rough around the edges, character proportions that make no anatomical sense but in the best way. Monster girls with tits bigger than their heads, the usual fantasy corruption pipeline. The sound design is practically nonexistent except for this one looping ambient track that I swear I've heard in three other Patreon games. It's not good but it's also... comfortable? Like a worn out hoodie you refuse to throw away.
The setup is pure isekai trash and I mean that affectionately. City boy swaps places with his alternate dimension self, suddenly he's got this weird mystical force growing inside him. Mind control powers, obviously. Because what else would you do in a fantasy world full of monster girls. The dialogue is stilted in that specific way where you can tell English isn't the writer's first language but honestly? It adds charm. "You will learn to take control over your emotions and influence other characters" yeah no shit that's the whole selling point. The exhibitionism tag is doing some heavy lifting here, there's this one scene early on where you're basically forced to... well. Let's just say the corruption starts fast and doesn't pretend otherwise.
The pacing is weird. Some scenes drag forever with text boxes, others cut to the good stuff so abruptly you'll wonder if you missed a choice. The male domination angle is front and center, your character goes from confused fish out of water to... not that. Pretty quickly. There's oral scenes that are surprisingly detailed for how unpolished everything else is. Someone on the team has priorities. The dating sim elements are there but thin, mostly just picking which monster girl to corrupt next. I wish the transformation stuff was more gradual instead of basically flipping a switch, but that's probably a budget thing. Patreon funded games always have that "we'll fix it later" energy and Cross Worlds wears it proudly.
