I went in expecting some cheap Danganronpa parody with tits. What I got was Monokuma whispering directly into my brain like he owns the place. Which he does, technically. The abandoned school setup is barebones, just enough to get you inside, and then the bear shows up and things get weird fast.
The hypnosis angle hits different when it's that fucking bear doing it. His dialogue is spot on, that sing song cruelty mixed with genuine menace. First ending I got, he convinced my character his muscles were swelling up, growing obscenely huge until I couldn't move. The writing describes every fiber stretching, skin pulled tight, this grotesque inflation that left me helpless while Monokuma just... watched. Laughing. The muscle TF has three variations apparently but I've only found two. One where you're just a hulking statue, another where the growth keeps going until you're basically a blob of meat with a tiny head. The third one eludes me and it's pissing me off. Not that I'm complaining about replaying it.
Seven endings, six of them bad. That ratio tells you everything about what this game wants to do to you. The transformations aren't just physical, the mind control seeps in gradually. One route had me so thoroughly broken that I was begging to be inflated more, the text describing this perverse pleasure in losing all autonomy. The second person POV makes it uncomfortably intimate. You're not watching some anime dude get wrecked, you're reading about your own body betraying you. The word count is modest, maybe 5k, but it's dense with these moments where you pick a door or a hallway and suddenly Monokuma's got his paws in your psyche. I wish there was more to explore in the school itself, some environmental storytelling or clues about what happened here. But that's not really the point, is it? The point is the bear wants to reshape you and the game is very, very good at making you want to see all the ways he can do it.
