That little jingle when you win a round. Gets stuck in your head like a bad pop song. Not that I'm complaining, it's basically a pavlovian trigger now. My brain hears that sound and immediately expects to see fabric hit the floor.
The whole thing is just cards. You and some smug AI opponent, throwing down tricks, trying to push your total score over 100. Higher sum wins the hand. Real simple. Too simple maybe? I spent the first ten minutes overthinking it, trying to bluff and strategize like I was at a poker table in vegas. Nope. Just math. Dumb, beautiful, straightforward addition. The real strategy is knowing when to fold a bad hand and cut your losses, which I am physically incapable of doing. My ego won't let me. So I keep playing garbage cards and losing my shirt, metaphorically speaking. She's the one actually losing hers.
And her. The brunette. The whole reason anyone clicks on this thing. She's a real model, which you can tell because she doesn't move like some janky polygon puppet. She just stands there, looking mildly impatient, until you win. Then the striptease starts. It's not a full on performance with a pole and dramatic lighting. More like a very personal, "you earned this" kind of deal. One piece at a time. A slow, deliberate reveal. I won a round by a single point once, a real buzzer beater, and the next thing she took off was... well, let's just say the game knows how to reward a close call. The arcadey card game loop is just a delivery system for that moment. A very effective one.
Wish there was more to do with the cards themselves. Like, special power ups or something. A "peek at her next card" ability would be thematically on point. But no. Just raw sums. Still, I keep coming back. Not for the deep cardplay, obviously. It's for that jingle. And what follows.
