Babyface is the kind of guy who tries to wash blood off his hands but the sink's already rusted through. Bang City doesn't let you forget, every alley smells like old deals and older betrayals. I clicked through the first few scenes thinking it'd be another tit fest with a trenchcoat slapped on top, and I mean, it is that, but the tits have backstory. Detective work means shaking down informants who happen to have chests that defy physics, and I'm not complaining. The milf who runs the underground casino, she's got dialogue sharper than her stilettos and a CG scene that made me forget my own name for a second. Something about revenge, right.
The RPG bits are weirdly satisfying for a game where the main quest is basically a grudge list. You level up, you pick dialogue options that sometimes matter, sometimes just lead to a gangster's wife bending over a desk. I wish the inventory system wasn't such a mess, half the time I forgot I even had items. But then a scene would hit, one of those hentai CGs where the shading does that glossy thing, and suddenly I'm back in. There's this one criminal boss, big tits obviously, but her expression during the whole... negotiation... it's like she's reading your browser history. Unsettling and hot.
The visual novel parts drag when Babyface gets philosophical about the streets, like buddy, we get it, you're tragic. But then the adventure kicks in, you're tailing a corrupt politician through the docks, and the next thing you know you're in a safehouse with a detective who's been playing both sides. Her scene is all heavy breathing and power plays, the kind of thing that stays in your head like a song you didn't choose. The game's rough around the edges, sometimes the text scrolls weird, but it's got that grimy charm. Like finding a dirty magazine in a gutter and realizing it's actually a novel.
