The pixel art of Loona in this thing is deliberately crusty, like someone drew it on a napkin between anatomy lectures, and honestly that’s the whole appeal. It’s a Helluva Boss parody that feels less like a polished product and more like a horny doodle that got wildly out of hand. The whole setup is she’s dealing with a hellish boss situation, which apparently just makes her unbearably horny, and you’re managing her arousal levels across three stages. You’d think a medical student would have a better grasp of biology but the way the scenes unlock as she gets wetter makes a weird kind of sense. I kept forgetting I had to actually pay rent though. You have to grind these little jobs every week to hit a quota and I got so distracted by a scene where she’s bent over a desk in one of the five unlockable outfits that I failed the week twice. The piercings are a nice touch, you can mix them with clothes that aren’t part of the set costumes, and watching her tail wag while she’s getting railed from behind is a detail that stuck with me.

The sound is basically nonexistent, just some generic wet noises that loop weirdly, but it somehow makes the whole thing more intimate, like you’re peeking at something you shouldn’t. The voice acting is absent, which is a crime for a character whose growl could make anyone feral, but the text descriptions are filthy enough to compensate. There’s a moment where she’s on all fours and the dialogue describes her knotting instinct kicking in, and I had to put my phone down for a second. The atmospheric tag is doing heavy lifting, it’s just dim backgrounds and a lot of purple shadows, but it works.

I stumbled into one of the bad endings where she basically goes into heat and can’t pay rent and ends up in a gutter, and it was so bleak I laughed. The good ending requires way too much grinding, I never got it. The wolf girl aspect is played up with her ears flattening when she’s embarrassed, which is cute, but then she’s drooling around a cock and it’s just straight up furry hentai. The parody element is thin, it’s really just an excuse to see Loona in compromising positions, and I’m not complaining. One scene with her in a ripped fishnet outfit made me forget my own name. The medical student who made this is definitely failing some classes but they understand desperation, both hers and mine.

I keep a folder for games that get abandoned or never finished, and Danger BLUE is sitting there half played, which feels right somehow. You're this guy who ditched everything, a good job, a girl who still texts you, a whole life, to go dig graves in some nowhere town. The game doesn't explain shit at first. You just show up, meet the locals, and try not to think about why you left. The sex scenes hit weird because of that. One minute you're flirting with the bubbly cafe girl, the next you're balls deep while your phone buzzes with a message from your ex. And you can't answer it because you're busy, obviously, but also because you're a coward. That tension, the guilt mixed with a hard on, it's the whole game.

The art is deliberately rough. Not in a lazy way, more like someone drew it on a napkin while drunk and horny. The cafe girl's tits don't quite match from one angle to the next. Her nipples change color. I noticed and I didn't care because the writing carries it. There's a scene in the cemetery shed, rain outside, and she's bent over a stack of old ledgers. The dialogue is stupid and funny and then suddenly tender, and you remember oh right, this is a romance game too. Or supposed to be. The mystery part, the "what are you running from" thread, it dangles there. You get hints. A phone call you ignore. A news report on the radio about someone missing in the city. But the game never resolves it, not in the build I played. Maybe that's the point. You're hiding from your past and so is the game.

Soundtrack is mostly just ambient noise, wind and distant traffic, which makes the silence between moans feel heavy. Voice acting is absent except for one scene where the ex girlfriend leaves a voicemail. Hearing her voice, actually hearing it, while you're scrolling through photos of the new girl's ass, that's the most effective horror I've experienced in an adult game. Wish there was more of that. Won't be though. The dev moved on to something else, I think. If you play it, don't save. Just let it run and see where you end up. The autosave feature is broken anyway.
